Hey Laxers! It's about time we got properly acquainted. So, gather 'round for a little story time. I'm McKenzie Christiansen, and I've got quite the tale to tell. Let's dive into who I am, what fuels my passion, and how I found my way to the heart of Idaho.
Embarking on a journey that's lasted almost twenty years, I'm McKenzie Christiansen, making a big impact in the world of lacrosse, especially in Idaho. I'm originally from Utah, where I fell in love with lacrosse as a kid playing in local leagues.
As I got better, my high school team would travel to Idaho every year for tournaments. Even though lacrosse wasn't really a big thing in Idaho schools back then, those trips helped me connect with the lacrosse community there.
When I went to college at the University of Utah, I kept playing lacrosse and even faced off against Boise State University a few times. During college, I started thinking about coaching, and I started bringing players from Utah to Idaho for games, building up a bond between the two states' lacrosse teams.
In 2019, I got into officiating, which made me even more involved in Idaho's lacrosse scene. Now, I'm part of Idaho Girls Lacrosse as an official, learning even more about the sport and the community.
Starting the Idaho Lacrosse Report was a big moment for me. It's a way to bring together lacrosse players and fans in Idaho, sharing news and stories about the game. My experience playing for the USA All-Star Lacrosse team, as well as for Denmark's national team, shows my love for lacrosse around the world.
Right now, I'm busy with broadcasting and officiating, making sure games are fair and fun for everyone involved.
With the Idaho Lacrosse Report, I hope to see the lacrosse community in Idaho grow even stronger. I'll be sharing updates and stories to keep everyone excited about the game.
I'm dedicated to making lacrosse in Idaho the best it can be, and I hope to inspire others to love the game as much as I do.
